Beacon

Quarterly

Featuring creatives from all over the world, Beacon is a multimedia platform and printed magazine with a focus in music, fashion, art and design. Beacon launched in 2015 and despite any outside funding, published four volumes of limited edition and ad-free magazines, pressed an exclusive flexi-disc-vinyl in collaboration with singer-songwriter Blossom, attended New York Fashion Week as press, has been spotlighted on the news and in other publications, hosted a music festival in PDX, a rooftop party in NYC, and countless other community events. Beginning as a solo project, a core team began to develop by the third issue. By the fifth issue, an accredited internship for university students had been developed and a partnership with Fidgetech, an organization for the professional development of designers on the autism spectrum, was established. By the 16th issue, we had published individuals from over 20 countries, including notable work from Parker Day, Chiron Duong, Lucas Wakamatsu, Khaddija Omar, Kourtney Roy, Ivan McClellan, and many others. While production eventually stagnated due to the unforeseen Covid crisis, the foundation of Beacon is very much in tact and we are eager to pick up where we left off.
